& Ellie's first hair cut! We had an appointment with Carrie @ Salon Couture, 3/17/11! Ellie always goes with me for hair appts but has never had her own! Carrie had a special certificate for her & a little baggie for her lock of hair.

So, hope you all had a fun St. Patty's day & didn't get pinched ;) We had such an eventful, fun March it's hard to believe later this week it will be APRIL!! Whoa! The weather is warming up here & we are loving being able to play outside! We have a trip to Nashville planned in April ... for a whole week~we want to see all our friends!

I have had the tutu for this day since the girl was 6 months old! I got her a BIG cupcake from the bakery, since cupcakes were the theme of her birthday! We had so much fun celebrating Ellie turning one!!!

Ellie's First Birthday

Our sweet Ellie is already 1 year old!! & the girl did some celebrating!!! We went to Nashville for her family birthday party. We had such a fun day with all of her family & lots of friends! The Carell Room @ our church was perfect for all 90 of us! A friend told me planning a first birthday party was like planning a small wedding ... & woah, was she right! But, all in all we had a great time & the birthday girl was great!

So, here is the birthday girl on her REAL birthday, 3/8/11~ We came back to Johnson City for a little celebrating. We had a smaller version of Saturday at our house on Tuesday! Mom, Ann & Marie drove up for the day! We had such a fun little time with our friends here! Ellie is a fan of cupcakes for sure (guess she takes after her mom :))

We had so so much fun! My birthday was wonderful as well! I guess, we will always celebrate together! Ellie got lots of new toys, books & clothes! The girl is definitely loved by many! She even got her first pair of Stride Rites from my parents. She is walking so well & getting fast! We went for her check up on Thursday ~ she weighs 22 pounds 6 ounces, 31 inches long. She is growing up so fast!!

Ready for March!

February has been so nice~the weather is getting warmer here, & we have had 2 weekends of visitors! Chad had 2 weekends off in a row ... wow, we didn't know what to do with him around so much! And planning little missies birthday has been FUN! Cupcakes everywhere:)

Ellie is walking everywhere! & i guess all her exploring has worn her out, becasue she is sleeping 12 hours @ night!!! Mommy feels so rested & ready to chase her around all day :) She loves to be outside & does not like when it is time to come in! I can only imagine how the summer is going to go ... we better get a pool to cool off in! She absolutely LOVES her baby & says 'ooooooh' when she picks her up, then rocks with her & gives her kisses! She gives the best hugs, wide open mouth kisses & then blows kisses & waves bye-bye! I think she is so funny~she makes me laugh everyday! She also likes the play in the bathroom & sneaks in there everytime we leave the door open!

Chad was on-call on Valentine's Day, so we spent the day with friends! One of Ellie's Valentine's, Barrett, is in the background... she love babies~ We so enjoyed our day @ the Denham's with Caitlyn, Maddie, Zach, Allyson, Lauren & Barrett.

My friend Brandi Elam came over & took pictures of Ellie! We took nice, 1 year pictures in a white dress & then took 'smash cake' pictures in her tutu! There are 3 posted on facebook with more to come! Ellie loved the jumbo cupcake & I really like the pictures that I have seen so far!! This is after her photo shoot & a nap, ready for lunch!!! Hard to believe she will really be one in less than 2 weeks!

This weekend we are wedding dress shopping with my sister in law, Courtney! She is having a beach wedding in May & the girl doesn't have a dress! So cross your fingers we find the most perfect one this weekend!! Looking forward to wedding planning & some more girl time!

Ellie's party is pretty much ready to go~just waiting on a few last minute things & finishing touches! March is already looking busy~but we love it ... birthdays, showers the frhs gala & before we know it wedding & baby time in MAY!!! YAY~

Valentine's Weekend

It is hard to believe February is here, much less that it is Valentine's!!
These are just a few pictures I haven't posted about~ we are planning Ellie's birthday parties! We are having a family party in Nashville on the 5th (my birthday) then having her little friends in JC over for cupcakes on her actual birthday, March 8th! I was trying to get a cute picture of her in her birthday dress, but NO such luck ... this one the only decent one, the rest she was crying:( so we just went with her 9month photo session ... she hasn't changed that much!

We are swapping nights out with the McDonald's ~ the guys are on call Monday, so we decided we would at least go out to dinner over the weekend. We are planning to go to Carrabba's on Saturday night & watch Madelyn for them to go out Sunday night! As far as Monday goes~we are having girls day with friends & making valentine's cupcakes!! FUNFUN!
